We are currently working on our Geomoetry unit, focusing on 2-D geometry at the moment. Our usual modus operandi is to begin with Mad Minutes Multiplication, A
Minds-On activity, then we move into
Investigation (often with a partner or group), ending with
Consolidation (sharing of misconceptions, strategies, and learning). Soon afterwards, students are presented with either an
Entrance Ticket, or an
Exit Ticket, to communicate their individual knowledge and ability to apply their learning. Here are some photos to give you an idea of what goes on in our math class.
