Toady, we began with an Entrance Ticket to test our ability to measure and construct angles.
Then we used our knowledge of angles to help us classify triangles. We also noticed we can classify triangles by their side length.
We noticed that all triangles can be classified by their angles AND their side lengths, at the same time. For example, the following triangle is an obtuse-isosceles triangle because it has an obtuse angle and two congruent (equal) sides.
Notice the symbols we use to show the different or congruent sides.
