Guest Speaker Kari Halay & Field Trip!

Guest speaker, Kari Halay, spoke to us about stuttering today, to make us more aware of this disorder, or "disfluency", and to ask us to be more patient and accepting of people and their differences. Our guest speaker was informative, entertaining, and completely enchanting!  Thank you so much for sharing your important message and for leading us to be more empathetic, and knowledgeable, about a highly misunderstood impediment.

At noon, we were on our way to the Simcoe Street Theatre to support our Admiral classmates and friends, and to view a wonderful production of "A Little Princess".  It was a beautiful day for a walk. We were very proud of Admiral students.  They were a very attentive, respectful, and engaged audience. We were so proud of actresses, Annabel and Sylvia, from our class!!!  They had us laughing, and both earned strong audience reaction and applause!!!  (The entire cast was amazing!)

Just as we were ready to walk home, Mme Carter suggested we sneak a quick preview of the "Magic of Children's Art" Exhibit at the Collingwood Public Library.  Students were thrilled to see their work on display.  We can't wait to go back, once the exhibit is fully open, and take time to really go through and view everything.

All in all, it was a great day!
