Fun Friday!

We began the day with a fabulous dramatic reading of Snow White.  Our presenter demonstrated a mastery of verbal and non-verbal communications skills to completely engage her audience.

Then we joined Mme Bosse's class to view their French skits of Cendrillon.  I was very impressed with the effort her students put into their presentations.  Bravo les cinquièmes!

With all the interruptions for group photos (for yearbook), students were not able to begin presenting their group dances, however they did enjoy a little of free dance time.

Gangnam Style

Harlem Shake!

They ended with YMCA, but I think this is still the Shake.

In Math, we began our last unit!  Transformation Geometry.  We focused on Translations (slides).  First we worked on a challenging problem with a partner, then they went on to create their own challenge for others to solve on Monday.

We are so lucky to have so much math help.  Mrs. Barr joined in on the fun.

Looks like our new student will remain a mystery - hidden behind a ruler!!

After second break, students worked with Mme Miller.  They began preparing for a little descriptive writing assignment with some fun warm-up activities.  I believe they ended the day golfing in gym class.  I hope everyone has a happy and fun filled weekend.  I began mine with a wonderful evening at Mme Martin's house with most of the Admiral Crew, last night - a great pot luck supper and BBQ, a band, volleyball and singing around the campfire.  Tonight I hope the rain will hold off long enough for a bonfire with my neighbours.  Just a little practising for summer holidays!
