I have had a great week getting to know your children. We still have so much to discover about each other. I thank you so much for entrusted your child to my care during the school day. I want you know that I take this responsibility very seriously and will always try to be my best self for them. I look forward to our year ahead, as we eagerly begin our learning journey together.
Our day is divided into three 100 minute learning blocks, with two nutrition breaks, and two fitness breaks. Students in my class are with me for Language Arts, Français, Sciences sociales, and Arts visuelles (Social Studies and Visual Arts are taught in French). Mr. Kemsley teaches our class Phys. Ed. and Health. They have two periods in a 5-day cycle.
All Grade 5 classes blend into three groups for Science and Math. Each of the three EFSL teachers teach one of the Maths group during blended time. The blended Science teachers are Ms. Denkevy, Mr. Kemsley, and Mrs. Lashley. The Science teachers will rotate through the blended classes throughout the year.
Students are outside for Fitness Breaks, daily, from 10:35-10:55. They eat in their homeroom from 10:55 to 11:15. Our classroom is room 205.
This is presently our 5 day schedule. If you are unsure of which day it is in the cycle, the days can be found in the Admiral agenda. Each student was provided with an agenda. Unfortunately the planning program I am using, uses letters for the days (A,B,C,D,E), our school uses numbers 1-5, A=1 etc.

I look forward to meeting parents and guardians at our Admiral Meet the Fleet on September 29th.
